Anstract: The structure of the encoder and the decoder for binary decomposable codes over Ntimes M-PSK constellations is described. The performance of some codes over the AWGN channel is investigated by means of bounds and simulations. The effect of a differential encoding and a multistage decoding algorithm is studied.
