This special issue of the journal Facta Universitatis, series Electronics and Energetics is devoted to the recent developments of theory and practice in the field of Discrete Analysis and related areas, presented at the Workshop on Discrete Analysis and Applications held on September 27-29, 2008 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
This issue includes 9 papers which are extended versions of papers that were presented at the Workshop.
In that respect, the included papers reflect the main topics within the scope of that Workshop, such as Walsh analysis, harmonic analysis on Vilenkin groups and particular non-commutative groups, the Gibbs derivatives, non-linear coding methods, and related subjects.
As the Guest Editors of this issue, we would like to thank all the authors for their valuable contributions and reviewers for their hard work under a tight schedule.
